my paintings
My paintings begin with an exploration of differences and opposites. Building layer upon layer in response to marks, colours, shapes and passages that resonate with me. The surface is built up using collage, paint and drawing media. Finally, when the painting is almost finished a few surprise elements are added to give interest when the viewer comes in close.
